Manager Keith Curle thinks it will be difficult for Notts County to tempt Lloyd Sam to join the club on a permanent deal.
Sam has been a revelation at Meadow Lane since arriving on loan from Leeds in mid-March. After scoring on his debut against Sheffield Wednesday, the 27-year-old took centre-stage in the games against Leyton Orient and Yeovil over Easter by scoring four goals - including a hat-trick against the Glovers.
Sam is a free agent at the end of the season and Curle expects to face stern competition from Championship clubs for his signature.
"Lloyd has got fantastic ability. His third goal against Yeovil was special. It is the sign of a man playing with confidence, belief and desire," said Curle, whose side currently occupy the final play-off spot in League One.
"If we were a Championship club then you never know, we might have a chance. But Lloyd has got Championship ability, there is no doubt about that."
