Morecambe's Stuart Drummond will miss the visit of Port Vale with appendicitis.
The midfielder could be sidelined for the remainder of the season after coming down with the complaint this week.
Defender Nick Fenton will be assessed after he picked up a knock in the 3-2 defeat against Burton on Easter Monday and was withdrawn at half-time.
Lewis Alessandra missed the Brewers clash with a groin injury but is pushing for a recall in attack, while midfielder Kevin Ellison was used sparingly over the Bank Holiday weekend due to a back injury and will be eager to earn a starting berth.
The Shrimps have lost their last three at the Globe Arena and only Barnet and Hereford have worse home records in League Two.
Port Vale have players nursing knocks ahead of the game.
Defenders Clayton McDonald, Adam Yates - a former Shrimp - and striker Tom Pope are those players in question but manager Micky Adams is confident their problems are nothing too serious.
"There were a few feeling sorry for themselves towards the end of the Macclesfield game on Monday," said Adams. "Clayton McDonald managed another 90 minutes, although I don't know how he has done that with his hamstring.
"Tom Pope was looking at me with his puppy-dog eyes about his ankle and it was the same with Yatesy over his shoulder. But they've had a couple of days of rest to recuperate and we go again on Saturday."
Should McDonald succumb to his hamstring problem, teenager Joe Davis is likely to step in at centre-half.
Striker Ben Williamson and midfielder Sam Morsy and Chris Shuker - another former Morecambe man - are options should Adams wish to make changes.
