BROWN: FYVIE BETTER THAN FULHAM
Aberdeen manager Craig Brown has told Fraser Fyvie he can do better than sign for Fulham.
The Premier League club failed in a January bid for the teenage midfielder and are expected to renew their interest after he decided not to sign a new contract at Pittodrie.
Fyvie will be free to leave Aberdeen in the summer and is expected to move to England, but Brown thinks the rising star should be looking above the likes of Fulham.
The former Scotland boss thinks the 19-year-old has the potential to play for the likes of defending Premier League champions Manchester United and Arsenal.
"Fyvie is good enough to play at the highest level in England. He has the potential to play for the top clubs," said Brown in the Daily Record.
"The talk of him going to Fulham has been going around for a while, but I reckon he could do a lot better.
"If he has real ambition, he should be looking to go to the likes of Manchester United or Arsenal.
"We are disappointed he has chosen not to accept the new contract offered by Aberdeen.
"He would have benefitted from continuing his development at Pittodrie. But it's a free world and he now has to look to do the best he can as far as moving to his next club goes."
